But that’s great; at least we are doing that for the sake of saving our own asses. Guess the humans have started to realize the fact that if this ferocious yet most beautiful creature on this planet and our national animal, ‘The King of the Jungle’ doesn’t exist to see its tomorrow then it would certainly disturb the food chain in which this animal sits at the top.
Well the question of the hour is what are we doing to save this beautiful animal? Are we so very blind? Or are we lost in this materialistic world not knowing what’s happening around us?
I am an admirer and an animal lover; yes I am also a connoisseur of this beast. At this juncture I too am very blank because of the ignorance that I harbored all these years, but I don’t know what attracts me to this exquisite animal?
I did enjoy watching this animal jump into the ring of fire on the diktat of its ringmaster in the circuses when I was very young. But I don’t enjoy watching this beautiful beast caged in the Mysore Zoo (Thanks to Mr. B. S. Yeddyurappa) struggling for survival which is unfortunately on its last leg, thanks to our behavior towards it.
Guess our government has to take a cue from the west and other countries who are absolute animal lovers (do they only portray as such, questionable?). I am sure we are all part of this heinous crime, aren’t we? The tribes that lived in the forests and dense jungles of India were living a life of perfect harmony, respecting the beast; I just don’t understand what went wrong when the same people started killing the beast for the sake of money.
Who is to be blamed? It is us, isn’t it?
All of us have an ‘Eye of the Tiger’ for various reasons and the reasons are so very wrong. I sincerely request and beg every human to stop this illogical tyranny of ending this great cat’s life.
Hope all of you have a heart and eye for the tiger. Just love this beautiful natures’ creation. Let it survive, democracy doesn’t apply only to humans I suppose? Does it? Correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks…
