Father punishing his son is not Himsa; instead it is Dandam Dashagunam as per elders, little references to books here and there. Many people claim to be nonviolent and firmly believe in the concept of Ahimsa. My friends, general public, classmates, colleagues, college canteen tea boy, his boss…etc and many more come into this list. The topic of discussion with all them not as a group but individually was about ‘
With few negligible exceptions whose voices are never heard by any of the nearest authorities around them or any Government that comes into power, others curiously opined or hinted that there should be no war and lives should not be lost.
These are the people who said that they are ardent followers of Mahatma’s ahimsa marg and also have done acts of nonviolence in one way or the other (Its Majority of my personally surveyed people).
M.K. Gandhi didn’t eat Fish, Chicken, Mutton, Beef, Pork…etc, Why??? Was it that he wanted to be a vegetarian all his life?
I don’t know why he didn’t consume meat, but I certainly understand that violence in any form incurred to any living thing on this planet is certainly Himsa.
I’m no exception to this because I have eaten eggs one way or the other, I have not eaten but I have certainly harmed many animals.
The point that I wanted to stress here is which god on earth or which bloody authority has given us the right to harm animals or cut down trees?
No, no one, nor in any holy scripture that I have read till now (Don’t know about the Holy Quran or the Holy Bible). We are certainly destroying nature and we are least bothered to protect it. The whole idea of taking up this topic is that we homo-sapiens are very self-centric. Can we do something about this onslaught?
So the point here is how one can be non-violent if his/her actions are always violent. Spare a thought please.

Hi sri.... Did spare a thought.. All i would like to say is "For every splenetic action committed someone's got to take the rap".
